An appointment can be arranged via phone or email.  Making this initial step can be difficult and some people find that attending their first therapy session can be daunting because they do not know what to expect - feel free to ask as many questions as you like when making your first appointment.  As the counsellor, it is my role to ensure that the client feels safe. When someone gets beyond these anxieties, they quickly discover that it is possible to explore the issue which is affecting their life.

I have facilities to work with Deaf, deaf and deafened clients who are willing to use the computer package VNC as a means of communicating or are able to lip read.  Please mention your needs in advance of making an appointment.

Time will be taken during the first therapy session to discuss what you hope to gain from counselling.

The number and frequency of sessions are tailored to the needs of each individual.  Each person is unique and in some instances the first session can be enough to set them on the right path.  For others a few weeks, or long term counselling is needed.  The duration and frequency is purely up to the individual to decide and appointments will be arranged to suit each client.

If you are unable to keep an appointment, it is important to contact me as soon as possible.   There may be a charge for continued cancellations made at short notice.  If an unexpected circumstance should arise, I will contact you immediately.

Each therapy session will last a maximum of one hour and cost £30.

(Employment Assisted Programme from £50 per session)
